Upper School Associate Teacher
(This is a One Year Contract Position)

The successful candidate will be a recent university graduate looking to be mentored by experienced faculty and will help shape the growth of our School for the 2024/2025 academic year. The successful candidate will be fully involved in the life of the school, and manage a range of duties that may include teaching a course, covering classes for absent teachers, assisting learners in our Learning Strategies Department and coaching our co-curricular programs.
This is a one (1) year contract.
Responsibilities:
- Providing students an educational experience designed to inspire and challenge students to discover the best of who they are and to achieve their full potential
- Ensuring the written, taught and assessed curriculum is in line with IB and Ministry of Education curriculum ensuring differentiation
- Establishing good relationships with teachers, staff and parents across the school community
- Being an active and positive participant in co-curricular activities and community life of the school
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required
- Intermediate/Senior Qualifications in English, Humanities, Science, or Physical Education
- Ontario College of Teachers Certification
- Coaching experience
- Commitment to strong student/teacher relationships
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in a technologically rich school environment, and skills in Google Applications are considered an asset
- A current Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Record Check
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED
