The Lauremont Schulich Experience (LSE) is an exclusive program developed through a collaboration between Schulich ExecEd, YSpace at York University, and Lauremont School. Open to all current Grade 9 and 10 students, the LSE integrates seamlessly with their regular coursework, complementing in-class work on design thinking, public speaking, inquiry, and collaboration. This program applies business concepts like branding and market research to social issues, encouraging students to create sustainable social change.
Designed for high-school students in the independent school system, this program helps to develop a social entrepreneurial mindset. Students will have the opportunity to create a learner profile portfolio, earn a Schulich certificate, and connect with academic and industry experts for ongoing learning opportunities.
Skills and experiences gained through the LSE are applicable across various career paths, including healthcare, law, business, STEM, and the arts. Students develop essential soft skills such as collaboration, leadership, and resilience. This program builds on the Lauremont School IB programme, offering a deeper exploration of topics relevant to students with a growth mindset and a commitment to making a positive societal impact.
