Janine Halloran: Coping Skills for Big Feelings

Kids, teens, and adults all benefit from using simple, healthy, and safe strategies to deal with big feelings, overwhelming thoughts, and challenging situations.

Join Janine Halloran, LMHC as she shares coping skills across the lifespan. Be prepared for experiential learning and movement as we try different strategies in the room like grounding techniques, breathing exercises and movements we can use with the children and teens in our lives and incorporate into our own lives as well.

This warm, practical session empowers parents and caregivers to support their students through the challenges of final assessments and exams.

You’ll encounter transformative approaches to help your learner feel more confident, focused and resilient so that academic work feels startable, doable, and sustainable in this last stretch of the school year.

Dr. Greg Wells: Sleep, Eat, Think & Move Better

Dr. Greg Wells explores how small, consistent improvements in daily habits can lead to better health and learning outcomes. His talk will cover the importance of sleep for memory and mental health, how nutrition affects brain function, the link between movement and cognitive development and tools for mastering focus in a digital world. This session offers practical strategies for students and parents alike.

September 25th, 2025 | Upper School @ 6:00 PM

The Ivey HBA Experience

Join us for a new and unique opportunity for students and families to ask questions about the application process to one of the most recognized business programs in the world and also hear directly about the Ivey experience from people closely tied to Lauremont School.

Learn about the HBA (Honours Business Administration) program and application process from the HBA Recruitment and Admissions Team from the Ivey School of Business at Western University. The session will also include a panel discussion with Lauremont School alumni who completed the Ivey HBA program.

The evening will also give the community an opportunity to hear how the Upper School guidance team supports our students and prepares them for the university application process for both national and international programs.

Please Note: Grade 7 to 12 students are allowed to attend this event.

Entry to the Speaker Series events are free of charge!

Will there be parking available onsite?

Yes, parking will be available at the school.

Can children attend the events?

Children under the age of 18 will not be allowed to attend the event.

Please Note: Grade 7 to 12 students are allowed to attend the Ivey HBA Experience Event on September 25th, 2025.
