Peter Hill
September 27, 2024
As the start to the new year unfolds, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce new faculty members to the community. While we were sad to see some long standing teachers leave the school, we are extremely excited to welcome our new teachers into the Lauremont family and we hope you will get to know them over the course of the fall term.
I know you will join me in welcoming these talented faculty members to Lauremont!
Akanksha Gupta
A seasoned IB educator, Akanksha has worked in two IB international schools in India, and comes to Lauremont School after moving to Canada with her husband. She holds a BSC and MSC in Chemistry from the University of Delhi and is looking forward to the potential of starting a table tennis club here at Lauremont.

Carey comes to Lauremont School after spending the past 5 years at an independent school in Toronto where he was teaching a combination of science, tech/design and phys ed courses. Carey holds an undergraduate Kinesiology degree as well as his BEd and MEd, all from York University. An avid hockey player and coach, Carey brings his kinesiology background and passion for the Middle School learner to Lauremont School.

Prior to that, she spent the better part of a decade in Ranklin Inlet wearing many hats as a teacher, guidance counsellor, special resource support and vice-principal. With a Masters in Counselling Psychology, MEd and PhD from Western University, Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge and a lifelong love of learning to her role with us as our Lead Learning Strategist.
